Girls Deserve Better® than deep fake porn images and non-consensual intimate imagery online! Now it’s the law!

“FFL has supported the Take it Down Act over the past two legislative sessions. While the Senate passed their version introduced by Sen. Ted Cruz and cosponsored by Sen. Amy Klobuchar, time ran out for the House,” said FFL President Serrin Foster. “We are so pleased that this common sense, bipartisan bill is now law, thanks in part to FFL supporters who contacted their legislators. Girls Deserve Better than online deep fakes!”

Social media companies now have to take these images down rather than let them linger for months. 

Public Education Coordinator and former sex trafficking victims’ advocate, Joyce McCauley-Benner added, “We thank our legislators for helping victims to start a path to justice and begin to reclaim their dignity. We must spread the message that exploitation of any kind will not be tolerated.”
