In the aftermath of violence, we can…

The shock, trauma, and sadness experienced by students who have never seen an assassination is palpable, especially from the thousands who witnessed it firsthand. Social media has spread the cancer.

For many of us, Charlie Kirk’s murder in front of a crowd, as well as the live recording of his assassination, brings back images of JFK, RFK, MLK, and later the most famous pro-life feminist, Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

As many mourn, people are calling on students and the rest of us to step up in Charlie’s place.

I understand the sentiment by those who are most deeply affected, but the reality is each of us is gifted with different skills.

The pro-life movement needs a complete choir: vocalists, choir director, musicians, lighting techs, ushers, writers and printers, promoters, and donors, etc.

When I tell students about the uniqueness and value inherent in every human life, I explain you are YOU. There are no two of you, even if you were one of multiples.

We can’t let murderers win by giving administrators cause to silence us.

A graphic that says violence is meant to silence. We won't be muted!

Some say “silence is violence.” But now, more than ever, violence is used to silence others.

Violence doesn’t just kill people. It is an attempt to kill discourse, to kill ideas and brainstorming to solve complex societal problems. We deserve better.

A choir needs to be on key. We lead the refrain: Refuse to Choose®. Women Deserve Better® than Abortion.

Look for suggestions next week on peaceful, welcoming ways to interact with those with opposing views.

Because women deserve better,
and peace begins in the womb,
