The 1/3 rule…

My advice for hectic holidays is to keep it simple and give yourself as many ways to lower the stress level and remember the reason for the season. It starts by giving thanks with your family and dearest friends!

When I think about celebrations, here’s how I break it down:

  • 1/3 anticipation
  • 1/3 experience
  • 1/3 memories

Being together now is everything, savoring moments with those I love—and later sharing photos and stories.

Our work is all about the one third rule, too. Here’s our recipe for serving pregnant and parenting women and their children:

  • Anticipate their needs.
  • Meet them where they are.
  • Smile as we consider their joy.

Right now there are pregnant women whose circumstances make them frightened.

This is why we offer our new Menu of Opportunity.

I ask you to carefully consider what level of support is comfortable to you. Your sacrifice is key. All single gifts will be matched by the Board and Friends. Most needed is our monthly gift, our “Bread and Butter” which will be double-matched.

I hope you have a stress free, memorable Thanksgiving knowing you do what you can for the most vulnerable women and children—and future leaders in school now.

I give thanks for you.

Because women deserve better,
