January 2026
New victories and threats to women and children…
On January 22, 2026, FFL President Serrin M. Foster was interviewed on the podcast How We See It. Listen to her explain FFL’s impact as we remember those lost since Roe v Wade.

We celebrate the passing of HR 6945 Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act which opens up federal block grant TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) funds to pregnancy centers.
HR 6359, the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act, has also passed in the House. This Act would require institutions of higher education to clearly and consistently communicate information about existing rights, accommodations, and resources for pregnant and parenting students.
“Every step we make to listen to women and meet their needs is a step in the right direction,” said FFL President Serrin Foster. “THIS is how we walk in the shoes of our feminist foremothers. March forth!”
Now on to the Senate…
Sadly, Virginia passed a constitutional amendment to allow abortions at any time during pregnancy. It will go to voters this November.
“The state slogan is ‘Virginia Is for Lovers,’ but aborting defenseless children by poison or a knife is not love,” says FFL President Serrin Foster. “Every one of us, especially feminists who walk in the shoes of the first wave who defended the unborn, must use our voices to speak for them – and vote NO on the amendment to the state constitution this November.”

The Board is searching for a new executive director. Please spread the word and apply here!
