Is this the best we can do?

By now you may have heard about the baby found deceased in a dorm room closet at the University of Kentucky. The baby was inside a trash bag.

We don’t know all the circumstances. Did she ever seek maternal care or any resources—or did she keep her pregnancy a secret? Did she know she was pregnant? Was the baby miscarried? Did the child take a first breath? What were her fears or unmet needs?

What we do know is that the young woman, a cheerleader who dreamed of a loving marriage and who looked forward to raising children is now facing possible prison.

FFL has reached out to the Wildcats for Life at the University of Kentucky with offers of a free kit for tabling. I’ve offered to present “The Feminist Case Against Abortion” pro bono. And our staff is ready to help strategize.

Most important, we hope to moderate an FFL Pregnancy and Parenting Resource Forum.

In addition, we must educate a new class that pregnancy resource centers, WomenDeserveBetter.com, and Safe Haven baby boxes are near their campus right now!

A photo of a young blonde woman with the text overlaid that says No one is cheering now. But we can help prevent more tragedies.

It is just as urgent to prevent ruined lives and deaths on every campus RIGHT NOW.

FFL Public Education Coordinator Joyce McCauley-Benner returns to Georgetown University for the annual Forum in October. Also in October, I’ll address a conference at Yale University hosted by Choosing Life. And there is still room for more teens to join my presentation to homeschoolers on September 24.

We need your support as we offer a free kit to every campus group—and so much more:

  1. Make a gift according to your ability.
  2. Pass on our offer to pro-life student groups in high school and college.
  3. Forward our invitation to middle and high school homeschooled groups and students to join our Zoom to learn their pro-life feminist history.

Please help us replace fear with hope, and a better life instead of sorrow and regret and mourning the death of a child.

I thank you as we reach future leaders in all fields and women at high risk of hearing a culture that tells them to take a poison pill or lay their bodies down and suffer an abortion.

P.S. We have been in touch with pro-life student activists offering help especially after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, which could have chilling effects for future events. If you missed my statement, you may read it on our social media: Facebook, Instagram, and X.
