Listen to Women…
The staff knows that I always believe whatever magazine we are working on will be “the best one ever,” especially when I see the art first marry the words in the design phase.
But it is really rewarding to hear from a donor who agreed about “Expressions,” the most recent issue of The American Feminist who called it “the best issue ever.”
He went on to say it was the “most artistic and intellectual,” and so much more.
Studies have told us that:
- One in five women in the United States experienced completed or attempted rape during their lifetime.
- 81% of women reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment and/or assault in their lifetime.
- 15-20% have suffered miscarriage.
But interspersed with the pain, we explore the joy of motherhood expressed by women throughout time and around the globe. And we celebrate pro-life feminists speaking for women and children at marches and rallies since Roe.
Solutions start by listening to women. Many have used the arts to be heard.
Congratulations to our talented writers, editorial team, and designers who work so hard on every issue.
And thanks to all our donors who make the latest “masterpiece” possible.
