Support working parents AND their children!

Last week, 50 members of Congress submitted an amicus brief urging the removal of the Biden-era abortion-accommodations mandate in the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.

Enacted in 2023, this federal law requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations for their pregnant employees. This was a huge step for women’s rights, but this law was later exploited by the Biden administration to include employee accommodation for abortions.

“Feminists for Life of America supports all efforts to remove accommodations for abortion through the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, a bill that FFL strongly endorsed. Clearly, the express intent was to support women who plan to raise or entrust their babies to loving couples through adoption,” said FFL President Serrin Foster.

In 2011, FFL developed a Workplace Inventory as a tool for employers who are committed to improving the workplace for pregnant and parenting workers.

If you are an employee or employer, including human resources staff of any size company, we invite you to use this tool to consider what more you might do to support families.

“After all, you have invested in them heavily!” Serrin added.
